Meet Dr. Candace Mullens, PA-C

Board-Certified Physician Assistant

I completed my Bachelor of Science (cum laude) at The University of Oklahoma in Norman, OK. I worked as an EMT before going to PA school to advance patient care skills. I graduated with my Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Western University of Health Sciences, Pomona, CA, in the top 8 of my class. 

I also completed an Orthopedic PA Residency Program in the DFW metroplex and have worked in Orthopedics for most of my medical career.

I have experience as a surgical first assistant in total joints and sports medicine cases and hands-on clinical care consisting of joint injections, fracture and dislocation reductions, splinting and casting, MSK ultrasound, PRP injections, and pre-operative and post-operative patient care.

I believe the information I provide patients is essential, and I want every patient I treat to have an in-depth understanding of their diagnosis and treatment plan. I have precepted PA students and take pride in advancing the knowledge of future providers. 

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my spouse and our cat and dog, as well as our friends and family. We enjoy game night with friends, bowling, playing pickleball, and trying to get out of escape rooms.
