Knee
The knee is easily the largest and most complex joint in the body, acting like a hinge that allows the leg to bend and straighten. Your knees are a combination of the femur (thighbone), tibia (shinbone), and patella (kneecap). Smooth articular cartilage covers the bone surfaces to reduce friction, while the menisci (two crescent-shaped pads of cartilage) absorb shock and help distribute weight evenly. This design makes the knee essential for movement but also vulnerable to injury.
Stability comes from strong ligaments and surrounding muscles. The ACL and PCL control forward and backward motion, while the MCL and LCL limit side-to-side movement. Tendons connect the quadriceps and hamstrings to the bones, powering motion and balance. Working together, these structures support body weight and withstand the stress of daily activities.
Your knees support everything you do. Your knees support everything you do. Our team combines compassionate care with expert treatment to restore knee health, relieve pain, and help you move comfortably again.
